Cruise Kerala with Oberoi

OBEROI Hotels & Resorts has launched a luxury cruiser - the MV Vrinda, which will cruise the backwaters of Kerala.

It will commence operations on November 1, with various excursions including sailing in traditional rice boats, visiting St. Mary's church and some of the ancient temples as well as glimpsing village life along the backwaters to Alleppey. Guests will be entertained on board by a classical dance form called Mohiniattam, Dance of the Enchantress'.

The Vrinda has eight cabins with attached bathrooms. Each cabin is equipped with DVD players and television sets and international cuisine will be served in a dining room offering views of the backwater.

To celebrate the launch of the Vrinda, Oberoi is offering a special package which includes a two-day stay at The Trident Cochin and two nights on the Vrinda. The package is available from November 1 to April 30, 2004 and is priced at US$1,150. It includes all meals and transport from the Trident Cochin to the jetty and back.
