GARUDA Indonesia has plans to add four Boeing 737-NG (New Generation) to its fleet.

Garuda president and CEO, Mr Indra Setiawan told the local media: “We are leasing the new generation of aircraft to strengthen our competitive advantage in the regional and international markets.”

The airline expects to start receiving the aircraft in March. With the new aircraft, Garuda expects to improve its position to mid-level, according to Mr Setiawan.

Meanwhile, the airline will reopen its Bali-Fukuoka flight on March 3 and reinstate the London-Bali route via Dubai in June.
