THE Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is taking its Amazing Thailand 2008 campaign to cyberspace with the launched of five e-marketing projects.

The NTO hopes this will help it capture a share of tourism revenue generated online and increase the country's presence on the internet.

The projects include a website and email campaign targeting the estimated 1.1 million travellers, travel traders, media and bloggers worldwide.

There is an e-brochure targeting women travellers from Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Middle East.

The NTO also plans to distribute photos, videos and travel articles on Thailand through user-generated media websites.  

Online events such as video competitions for both domestic and international travellers are also on the plans.
