Jet Airways to connect Hong Kong, Shanghai and San Francisco

JET Airways will launch daily services between Mumbai and Hong Kong from April 14 and from Mumbai to San Francisco via Shanghai from May 5.

At a press conference yesterday in Mumbai, Jet Airways chairman, Mr Naresh Goyal, said: "Hong Kong, as the gateway to South China, is a very important destination for Jet Airways given the large volume of business and leisure travel between the two financial capitals."

The flight will depart Mumbai at 01.00 and arrive in Hong Kong at 09.15. The return flight will depart Hong Kong at 19.05 and arrive in Mumbai at 23.10.

Jet Airways will become the first Indian carrier to operate non-stop daily flights to Shanghai from Mumbai. The airline's transpacific flight to San Francisco via Shanghai will take 19 hours, including the stopover, compared with 25 hours via other routes.

Boeing 777-300ER with first, premier and economy classes will be used on the Mumbai-San Francisco route and Airbus 330-200 aircraft with premier and economy classes will be used on the Hong Kong route.
