Visitor arrivals to Singapore in March fell by 1.6 per cent over the same month in 2001, or a total of 654,710.

For holiday traffic, the Philippines registered the highest increase at 59.8 per cent, while the largest decline was from the US at -28.7 per cent.

Overall business-related traffic from the top 12 markets fell by 4.8 per cent with the largest decline from Hong Kong.

For the first quarter ending March 31, visitor arrivals dropped by 3.5 per cent over the same period in 2001, to a total of 1,849,663 with Indonesia as the largest visitor generating market.
