AIR France has become the world's first airline to win the Qualicert certification for excellent passenger service given out by Swiss-based Societe Generale de Surveillance said to be the world's biggest organisation in the field of quality control, inspection, expertise and certification.

Air France regional director, South-east Asia and Australia, Mr Jacques Clabaut, said the airline was immensely proud to receive the award as it recognised years of effort. He attributed the win to Air France staff. “We constantly audit and check ourselves. All the staff are included in the business of fulfilling what the customers want. For instance, the crew is very involved in the commercial process so that it would foster in them a greater understanding of the needs of local customers.”

Regional customer Quality Manager, Mr Malcolm Koh, said: “In our endless pursuit for quality, we have learnt that simple is best.”
